Beauregard's Rest

We live in a small town called Locust, NC. My husband proposed to me 20 years ago at Carolina Beach. We are a military family, so we often stay at the base down in Fort Fisher. When my parents rented this beautiful place and invited us, we were beyond excited! What an amazing place to fill the soul. My husband deploys at the end of the month for a year. We have made beautiful memories that will last us until he comes home again. We can't wait to come back. We are thankful for my parents for giving us this time and to you for opening your home to us. Great condo just steps from beach access. Amazing views. Very clean and nicely updated. Our family enjoyed our visit immensely!

What a great spot to chill and enjoy beautiful Carolina Beach. Views from each level and an easy walk to.the beach. Very comfy beds and everything we needed - and when we did have a question A1 Property Management was right there to help. Thank you, we will definitely be coming back.

This was our 2nd year to visit Carolina Beach during the Cape Fear Kite Festival. With last year's knowledge we selected our location carefully with Beauregard's Rest being in a great location for walking to the Boardwalk Friday night to enjoy the lighted kites. We also walked to dinner a couple of nights and, being long distance cyclists, we in a great location for rides to the south end of the island and back.

It was the perfect place for our family, walking up to sunrises and waves. Just amazing!

Great location with great views. The 3rd floor is extremely hot. The ceiling fan and oscillating fan were of no help during the day. Nights were manageable if you don't need it to be cool to sleep.

It was easy to find, easy to park, easy to the beach, easy to play games, easy to cook, easy to sleep, easy to dream, easy to clean- easy peasy. Loved it.

We had a great time at your home. It is such a great location, and we enjoyed walking to many places and daily around the lake. It was fun looking for the shipwreck each day at low tide! We hope to come back sometime!

Great location with shopping and dining within walking distance. Steps to the beach with great views. Spacious home perfect for families.

We enjoyed our stay at Beauregard's Rest. The condo has everything you need. One suggestion would be to add some stair treads to the last steps on each level to prevent falls. All three of us missed the last step on each level at some point during our stay. The third-floor bathroom is rather small and too dark to shave or do your hair, Other than these couple of things the stay was very enjoyable and the views were spectacular.

We love visiting Wilmington in October! The humidity is lower and the beaches are less crowded! And this year didn't disapoint! The Rental condo was perfect for a group of 6. It had everything we needed. There are a lot of stairs, so we also got good Leg and Glute exercise! ;)

Rented for a week and enjoyed the property and location. As others mentioned the stairs are a lot and can get old but great views and loved the three decks! Would definitely stay there again!

We had a great week at Beauregard's Rest! Thank you again to A-1 Property Management for always being professional and on top of things! The only glitch was that the app said that check-in was at 4:00 but the information inside the condo said 3:00. We were just hanging around waiting for 4:00 to check in. This needs to be cleared up.

We had a great week! This unit is in a great location, we were able to walk everywhere to eat. It was also very clean, and great ocean views on the second and third floor.

The rental was very cute, pretty well stocked, and good location. The steps actually helped work off some of the vacation drinks that were consumed. The top two view were great, and when you wanted privacy but the ocean wave sound, the bottom balcony was great.

The unit is in an ideal location on Carolina Beach. We loved watching the waves from the 3 porches. Two things were not to the standard we are used to with A1 - the unit needed a deep clean. Our feet were all black from walking through the unit and the air returns/fans were covered in dust. And the linen package was missing pillow cases. We made do because we didn't need one of the beds, but it was surprising.

Our vacation was wonderful! Our rental was clean and comfortable and being right on the beach was perfect. The view from the third floor bedroom was fabulous! We had a couple of problems while we were there and they were taken care of right away. Will definitely recommend this rental and A-1 Property Managment! Can’t wait to come back

It was awesome. Perfect location, close to shops but not too close. Three levels in the Condo made it great to see ocean from different levels. I would return to this rental anytime.

We're long-time renters with David, but this was our first visit to BR. It's ideally suited for families with adult children (and their children) because of the multiple levels. The best views are from the two upper bedroom decks. The living room deck is large and has a good view of the sand dune and vegetation and a sliver of sea. The LR carpeting needs to be replaced, but otherwise the house is comfortable, the kitchen is well-stocked, and we really appreciated the artwork.

Parking is tight for two cars, especially in the garage, but we drive a Prius.

You can't beat the location near the Veggie Wagon and walking distance on the beach to town.

David and his crew are always quick to respond whenever there's a slight problem. The loose deck spindles mentioned by other reviewers were quickly repaired for us. There's nothing like a family-run business for great customer care.

This property was great! We had a much needed break from the real world.
Check- in was simple. We were a little confused that the sheets for the bed were just left for us to make the beds and the sheets are in desperate need of updating but the beds were very comfortable.
The kitchen was well stocked with basic cooking necessities. Living Room Furniture was a little lacking for comfort but we made it work.

The view from all 3 porches is BEAUTIFUL!!! But I will warn you the stairs are brutal to the top bedroom!! Also the shower in the top bedroom is NOT tall person friendly or if you have claustrophobia issues!! I ended up having to shower in my friends room simply because I was too tall.

Overall this property gave us everything we needed for our get away from humans week.

Our vacation rental was awesome. So much so that our kids could not stop saying how great the place was. They are already asking to stay there again the next time we go on vacation. Their ages are 16 and 17. This place really sparked their enthusiasm about vacations.

The stay was amazing, the views from the top balcony was just beautiful. Everything was just as it should've been with the condo.The history of Beauregard is very interesting and it's cool being able to see part of the ship wreck from the balcony.

My only recommendation to the property manager would be to put some more screws in some of the pickets on some of the decks, we were careful with our toddler because if he would've pushed on them he would've fell through to the ground.

Beauregard's Rest was very clean with plenty of space to spread out and relax. Our week's stay included bed linens and towels, plus the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed.

Not only did we have the beach, but there is plenty to explore in the area...we enjoyed Fort Fisher and the aquarium; and in Wilmington, we toured the Battleship North Carolina, took a horse and trolley tour (very entertaining), and strolled through the shops in the Cotton Exchange.

A couple of things that could be updated are the chairs in the living room & second-floor deck which were not very comfortable; and more or brighter lighting in the kitchen and bathrooms.

Overall, we enjoyed our time there very much and communication with A-1 Properties was excellent. This was the second time renting through them and will continue to do so when visiting the area.

Wonderful place! Clean and exactly like it was described. We loved the location, the access to the beach and the condo was perfect for our family of six! Definitely recommend and we can’t wait to return!

Nice location and good condo overall. We traveled with our 2 young kids. Having the oceanfront balconies were nice when back for naps and bedtimes. We would stay here again.

Everything was great however some issues with the TV...David came by to correct the problems which was great.

We had a lovely vacation at Beauregard’s Rest! The condo was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. We greatly appreciated the ample supplies and the beautiful views from every balcony! We would highly recommend this condo to everyone and hope to come back soon!

This was an amazing find!!! I was looking for a last minute beach getaway for my daughter's birthday and I stumbled onto this amazing location. The views and location are enough to have me book again but the condo was impeccably clean, welcoming, and pefect for our needs. Disclaimer- if you have kiddos or older family there are a lot of stairs but that was not a deal breaker for us. The only downside I would say is that the living room chairs are not incredibly comfortable so a couple of our party always ended up sitting on the floor to be together in the living. we loved this place so much we already booked it for a week this summer!! This place is a must.

My daughter and I had a delightful stay at Beauregard's Rest. The location was perfect for us--close to everything, but not so close as to be noisy or to have too much traffic. Beach access was very close. Having a garage was wonderful, and having access to beach chairs AND cruiser bicycles was great. Loved the shower out back. This is a 3-story unit with no elevator, but that just meant we got a little extra exercise! It was nice that each bedroom had its own bath, and that there was a half bath on the main floor. Loved having a deck looking out at the ocean on all three floors. Because of COVID, we ate out less and cooked in more. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. There were some good books available to read (I read 3 while there!). We enjoyed the ocean and reading so much, we never even turned televisions on! We liked being close to the Veggie Wagon as that is a favorite place to get coffee and/or smoothies. We will definitely stay here again!

This condo was amazing. It was super clean and excellent location. We loved it.

For the most part, the vacation rental was good. We had a few minor things, but it did not ruin our vacation.

This condo was fabulous! The views and access to the beach were great. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up to amazing views out the bedrooms balconies. We have rented several properties in CB and this one is definitely our favorite!

I really liked this app to check the in. Quick and efficient. The view was great. Quiet and relaxing.

Amazing views! We are beach lovers and this didn’t disappoint. It was offseason so it was quiet but just what we wanted. The property management company was easy to work with and they were responsive! Everything written about the property is true from the views to the tight garage. Note that this property has LOTS of stairs so my parents groaned every time we came home but they both said it was worth it! We would definitely stay here again.

Won’t disappoint!

We stayed here for a family Christmas gathering and had a blast!
The weather was 65 most days, very little rain, and we spent many meals eating on the patio overlooking the ocean.
The kitchen has all appliances and made eating in great!
There are a lot of stairs, four flights from ground to the very top bedroom but
the way the 3 bedrooms situated is perfect for privacy.
We opted to bring our own sheets and towels but there are blankets and pillows there.
The location is middle of Carolina Beach- just a few miles away from the Aquarium, State Park, Fort Fisher, and 20 minutes to Wilmington.
We had a blast and count ourselves lucky to have a beautiful beach Christmas together.

They went above & beyond suggesting things to do, sights to see and restaurants to visit. They were NEVER in a urry to get off the phone. Thank-you! Of all the reccommendations, our absolute favorite wasthe Veggie Wagon- that place was amazing and gave us the ability to enjoy delicious snacks and meals in the comfort of our condo. We loved It!!

Property:   The condo was very clean and comfortable and wasn't lacking any amenity we needed. It was decorated very tastefully. We loved the ocean views from all three floors and being able to walk out to the beach was exactly what we wanted. The proximity to th boardwalk and Kure beach was great too! We would love to come back.

The condo met all of our needs. The ocean view was beautiful and the beach access was very convenient. The beach chairs in the garage were a happy bonus! Just a short drive to restaurants and the grocery store.
