Star of the Sea

The property was super clean, conveniently located to beach access, and the nearby attractions of Carolina Beach, Fort Fisher, the ferry to Southport, and even downtown Wilmington. The unit itself was beautifully decorated with high ceilings on all floors (I think 9’ tall?) newer, clean and comfortable furniture, modern finishes, and had a wonderful cozy and comfortable feel. The kitchen was nicely furnished with all the basic tools needed to cook and grill out. One of the best properties we’ve stayed in at the beach, and we will be back!! The pool was closed for the season, so I can’t speak to that directly, but it did look nice from the outside. I highly recommend the property!

My sister and I rented both this unit (Star of the Sea) and the nearby unit (Sea Ya) for a family gathering of over a dozen people. We had family members travel from as far away as CA and the state of WA. The location was great, with very close beach access and also the pool. The unit itself was immaculate. Response from A1 was top-notch...first we requested additional beach towels, which they hand delivered shortly thereafter. Second, we had an issue with the upper floor A/C, for which they had a repair man out within an hour or so.

Being in north Kure Beach, you are close to the Carolina Beach restaurants and shops, but away from much of the traffic. All in all, a wonderful stay at a great rental.

We came together with our immediate and extended family from Florida and Virginia. Home was spacious, clean and comfy. Just a stones throw across Fischer to the beach. We had everything we needed and hope to make this an annual tradition. Love it!

This was our second year in a row that we stayed at Star of the sea and it was as fantastic as last. The property is clean and well appointed. The ocean views from the deck were the perfect way to have your morning coffee.

This is an awesome spot. The house was clean, well appointed, location was great. Highly recommend. There were 6 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of space and everything we needed. We really appreciated that the owners allowed us to use the bikes! Thank you. Next trip to the area, I will look no further than A1 for a rental, and hopefully come back to the Star of the Sea.

The house was beautiful, clean and perfect for our needs except the fridge was broken. This made it very inconvenient for the Easter gathering we had planned. We had a lot of food that needed to be kept cold for the weekend. We packed the fridge with ice until maintenance was able to bring us more coolers and dorm fridges. It was really not ideal but acceptable.
Overall our stay was great. The location was great, the view was good. The entrance to the beach was close by. I just wish there was easier communication. Only way to ask questions was through email.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Star of the Sea. The home was very clean and had everything you could need. We started each morning with Coffee on the deck looking at the ocean, you couldn't ask for more. It was a great location to the Beach, Pool, shops and restaurants. We can't wait to stay again.

We had a family of 20+ for a reunion. The rentals couldn't have been more perfect. Both units were close to one another and only a short walk to the beach. Everyone had a wonderful time. A1 was great to work with. They answered all our questions and were quick to respond when we had an elevator problem. We would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

This home is in a great location and provided a wonderful place for our family to celebrate Thanksgiving! Plenty of space and all the essentials you will need!

We loved this rental home. It was very beautiful and clean. It had all the comforts of home. The location was perfect. Loved the elevator which turned out to be very useful. Perfect for the elderly and the handicapped. I’m definitely interested in making this rental a yearly vacation spot.

Fantastic property in a great location, exactly as described. Short walk to the beach. Amazing fully furnished kitchen. Bathrooms with large showers and dual sinks. Large bedrooms (2 masters) with comfortable beds and large TV's (Roku with every TV). Excellent WiFi. Large dining and living room areas. Large 3rd floor balcony, nice size 2nd floor balcony off master bedroom. Use of tandem bike, 2 adult and 2 kids beach cruisers. Responsive property management quickly fixed two minor issues. We could not have been more pleased with this property.

My family stayed at Star of the Sea in Kure Village. We absolutely loved everything about our vacation. The house was in a perfect location, it was very spacious for my family and the house was beautiful and clean!! I emailed the staff at A 1 Property to ask different questions about our upcoming trip and they always answered promptly. They were very helpful.

We loved everything about Star of the Sea. The house was in pristine condition and very well-equipped. It's a short walk to the ocean, and having the small pool available was a nice bonus. A1 management was great - we had a small issue with the battery in the lockbox, and they were very quick to come and fix it. A few small suggestions since I think it's a new rental: somewhere to store clothes - a closet shelf or something - would be helpful in the small queen room, and maybe a small nightstand in the bunk room if possible. This was one of the best beach rentals we've ever stayed in and we would certainly rent again.
