Cape Fear Kite Festival

The Cape Fear Kite Festival returns to Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, presented in partnership with the Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce. Watch professional kite flyers fill the sky with incredible shapes, colors, and larger-than-life designs during the final event of the kite season. Enjoy live music, food trucks, and vendors throughout the weekend — free for spectators, with daytime events from 11AM–4PM plus special Friday events at the Kure Beach Pier (11AM–1PM) and in Carolina Beach (7PM–9PM).
